Thank you for stopping by my profile and taking the time to learn a little more about me and what fuels my passion both in my work and in my personal life. One of my main personal beliefs is that our education does not end after highschool or college but continues with each new experience we encounter. Therapy in Transition came to be through tears of joy and sadness. It was Thanksgiving of 2005 when I found out my beloved best friend Tito was diagnosed with bone cancer. During his seven month fight I worked with a life coach who helped me see the silver lining. I knew then my life’s journey was about to make a 180 degree turn and I am so grateful for it.
I realized during the time I was supporting Tito through his final months my gifts were for more than just helping corporate America but also were to support individuals through their transitions. My transition through grief was just that – opening myself up to truly knowing my heart’s desire and seeing the circle of life in its entirety. My joy was being able to see how trusting myself I am able to positively embrace my new journey knowing I was receiving as much as I was giving.
My goal was to have a little bit of Tito to be carried on through my work since his wisdom and compassion were the keys behind me knowing what it means to be present in the moment and without expectation. Therapy in Transition’s acronym is his name and our services embrace a holistic approach and application because it is what empowered me to embrace the transition I was experiencing during this very difficult time. When it came time to say good-bye to my best friend my new found knowledge didn’t take away the enormous pain I was experiencing but it provided hope that in the future my days would be brighter, lighter and filled with love.
I actually began my journey of personal growth in my early 20s. I was amazed at what I was uncovering, discovering and rediscovering through the work I was doing. Bringing meditation into my life allowed me to find my center, my balance. Expanding my reading to be more than just the top 40 fictional best sellers gave me a sense of what others were experiencing and how it might be applicable in my own life. Seeking the support of different types of professionals enabled me to view my life not through a microscope but a ‘macroscope’; I quickly learned my thoughts, actions and words impacted more than just myself or those in my immediate world. My library of books read is now very extensive and my list of ‘to read’ keeps expanding by the day. I also learned I already have the knowledge I seek within me. All I needed was someone to help me find the key to unlock the door of my potential, to embrace my inner wisdom and to trust what I was hearing.
I love life; I love learning and expanding my own perspectives. I truly believe everything happens in divine perfection even if we are not able to see the goodness in the why; there is always a light behind the darkness. Sometimes we need to just close our eyes and open our hearts a little wider for the light to shine in.
It is with humble gratitude I offer myself and services to you this beautiful day. Please contact me with any of your questions.
